Keeping Warm

The iconic Cowichan "Indian" Sweater is a metaphor. It represents the cultural transaction, or acculturation within myself as a person of mixed heritage. A connection with my direct matrilineal First Nations' culture was systematically removed through the Indian Act, and now I am trying to reconnect.
